日本六古窯（ろっこよう）の一つでもある愛知の常滑焼(とこなめやき)をアップデートし続ける山源陶苑の3代目陶主である鯉江さん。常滑焼の古来からの機能性（温度変化に強く、吸水性も低い）を保ちながら可愛らしいデザインと色合い。日々の発酵の手作りを支えてくれます。

粘土分と鉄分の多く含む常滑の赤土を使用し、肉厚でよく焼き締まった本体。乳酸菌や酵母菌が嫌う急激な温度変化を受けにくい機能性とインテリアになる可愛らしさが共存。

釉薬仕上げなので色移りや匂い移りなく、熱湯消毒もしやすい。酸や塩分にも強いので漬物・味噌・梅干し・ぬか漬けなどの仕込みや貯蔵用に。
